there are some hippies like that where i live but most of the down south hippies are true lower middle class hippies, that could care less as long as you don't hate on them for being themselves. i stay in charlotte, nc.

i believe in equality!!! were all human beings with different point of views. and thats the one thing i think we should all respect as people. maybe then this world wouldnt be as fucked up. but then again i can come up with reasons why this would would still be shit.

That is just some Hippies though. You find moochers in any scene. I think it wrong to judge a whole scene based on one person.

Honestly, I didn't know about the whole hippie bashing. There's like zero hippies around here (too cold for them perhaps?) and the punk scene kinda really sucks aswell. Although, in a way I sort of agree with shittymcfuck. There is an inordinate amount of kids in various cliques/scenes that I would like to beat up and teach them some manners. Other than that I really don't care who wears what or what they label themselves as.

Yeah there are a lot of people from different scenes that I just can not stand but I do not hate others because of what they call themselve either. Some of the people I hang out with claim to be hippies, some dress like Scene or Emo kids. I think people should do whatever makes them happy.

ditto to shittymcfuck, as a generalization, not a rule... per the song in my sig when and where punk is the antithesis of hippie is when they want to mooch or hold hands and take care of eachother and a collective of strangers at the expense of one, or two, or a minority... while punks tend to be more individualists and do-it-yourselfers... not to mention irritated by most people, especially those that don't seem to think for themselves but parrot love and vibes lines to ostracize those who don't play along.
but again, a generalization not always present.
