Para quem gosta de Early reggae instrumental esse álbum duplo, lançado pela Trojan em 2006, irá agradar os ouvidos dos que procuram as novidades do catálogo da Trojan. o álbum reúne 56 sucessos produzidos entre 68-70 por Joe mansano, que lhe rendeu o apelido de Joe The Boss.
Vendendo Singles jamaicanos próximo à uma loja de produtos de beleza em Londres fez com que Mansano, um estudante de Trinidad que foi à inglaterra em 1963, se tornasse o melhor vendedor na cidade e em 1967, teria sua própria loja, a Joe's Records. No ano seguinte Mansano deu seu primeiro passo nas produções, com o instrumental com toques de Calypso de Rico & The Rhythm Aces. Entretanto, foi uma produção algum tempo depois, "Life On Reggae Planet" que foi prensada e lançada pela Blue Cat em 1968. Em maio de 1969, o novo selo Trojan deu a Mansano sua própria subsidiária, inaugurada pelo lançamento de Patti La Donne - Friends & Lovers, acompanhada pelo instrumental Hot Line. O single de Behold, por The Critics & Nyah Shuffle foi o primeiro a ser prensado em 1970. Então, as produções de Mansano estavam à todo vapor na cena de Reggae Britânica. Ao contrário de seu maior rival, Dandy Livingstone, Mansano era somente um produtor, sem talento vocal. Talvez seja esse o porquê a maioria dos lançamentos eram instrumentais, por The Cimarons ou Rico & The Rudies. Na Jamaica tecladistas estavam roubando a cena de trombonistas, porém, Mansano foi contra essa tendência, com muitas de suas produções com ótimas participações do trombonista Rico. Igualmente notável foi o começo com sua primeira gravação: Mansano fez uso de DJs, incluindo Hopeton Reid, aparecendo sob diversos pseudônimos como Joe The Boss, Pama Dice e Dice And The Boss. Outro DJ de Mandano era Lloyd Campbell, conhecido como Lloyd The Matador. Mansano era extremamente popular entre os Skinheads, lançando vários singles na era do Reggae, mesmo que sua popularidade não fosse refletida nas British Charts.
